Founded in 2010, Harmony Energy is one of the UK’s leading developers, owners and operators of utility-scale battery energy storage. With experience developing, building and operating wind and solar projects, they are focused on developing in the UK, France, New Zealand, Poland, Germany and Italy.

Challenges

Onsite visibility was an issue, as it was hard to obtain a clear view of onsite data and metrics necessary for effective decision-making.

They also encountered difficulties with complex system integration, needing to manage multiple solution and service providers within a complicated energy system while ensuring the accuracy of market data.

Additionally, warranty and OEM performance tracking posed another challenge, as they had to test round-trip efficiency and ensure that OEM equipment met the service level agreements outlined in their contracts.
