This Privacy Notice explains how Univers Pte. Ltd. and its affiliates (“us” or “we”) collect and process your Personal Data (i.e. any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person) when you visit or use Univers websites, applications, products, services, and events. This Privacy Notice applies when we act as the Data Controller (i.e. when we determine the purposes and means of processing) collecting and processing your Personal Data. 1. Collecting Your Personal Data

We collect Personal Data from you when you visit our websites, visit our office, use our applications, products, and services, subscribe to our newsletter, attend our events, participate in discussion boards or social media sites, apply for a job with us, report a technical problem using our websites, applications, products, and services. We collect the Personal Data you provide or collect automatically when you are using our websites, applications, products, and services.

We do not sell your Personal Data. We ensure that all our affiliates adopt the same administrative, technical, and physical security measures to comply with our data protection policies and applicable laws when sharing your Personal Data with them. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any identified or identifiable natural person with our business partners, affiliates, and advertisers for the abovementioned purposes. We may share your Personal Data in the following situations.

5.1       EEA, UK, and Switzerland
When transferring your Personal Data outside the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we implement at least one of the safeguards set out below to comply with applicable law. Adequacy decisions: We may transfer your Personal Data to countries deemed to provide adequate protection for Personal Data by the UK and/or European Union authorities. Standard Contractual Clauses: We may use specific contracts approved by the UK and/or European Authorities that give Personal Data the same protection it has in the UK and the EEA when we transfer your Personal Data to service providers.

You can exercise your rights concerning your Personal Data by submitting a request to privacy@univers.com. We respond to all requests within a reasonable timeframe following applicable data protection laws.
7.1      EU Data Subjects:  Rights Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
If you are an individual resident in EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the following data protection rights: Right to be informed You have the right to be informed about how we collect and process your Personal Data. We provide the information in a precise, transparent, and easily accessible format. Right to request access to data You have the right to access the Personal Data we collect and process. Right to correction You have the right to rectify your Personal Data if it is inaccurate or incomplete. Right to erasure You have the right to delete or remove your Personal Data in some circumstances, such as where we no longer need it or where you withdraw your consent (where applicable). There are exceptions where we may refuse an erasure request, e.g., where we must comply with a legal obligation or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. Right to restrict processing You have the right to request that we only process your Personal Data in limited circumstances, such as where you contest the accuracy of that Personal Data or object to processing it for a particular purpose. Right to object to processing You have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data unless we demonstrate legitimate grounds for the processing which override your rights, or we exercise or defend a legal claim. Right to data portability You have the right to receive all Personal Data you have provided in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and transmit this Personal Data to another Data Controller where technically feasible. Right to withdraw consent You have the right to withdraw the consent you provided at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. It will not affect the processing of your Personal Data which rely on lawful processing grounds other than consent. Right about automated decision-making and profiling You have the right not to be subject to a decision based on automatic processing, including profiling if automatic processing produces a legal effect that affects you unless such profiling is necessary for the performance of a contract between you and us. Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority You have the right to complain to the supervisory authority in the member state of your residence, where you work, or where the alleged infringement of data protection laws has occurred.

8. Retaining Your Personal Data

We will retain your Personal Data for a period necessary for the purposes for which it is collected. We will also retain it as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, for legal and litigation purposes, to maintain accurate financial and other records, deal with complaints, and enforce our agreements. We will delete your Personal Data after the applicable retention periods in accordance with applicable law.

We maintain the accuracy and completeness of your Personal Data to support our business operations. You must inform us via email at privacy@univers.com of any updates to your Personal Data for us to support you effectively.

10. Opt-Out Subscription

You may click on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our marketing emails if you no longer wish to receive marketing communications from us. To opt out of the use of non-essential cookies, please update your preferences via the “Cookie Preferences” link at the bottom of our websites.

11. Manage Children’s Personal Data

We do not provide our products and services to children under the applicable age of consent in relevant jurisdictions. Please notify us if you believe you inadvertently provided your Personal Data. We will delete your Personal Data.

You may find advertising or other content on our websites that links to the websites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors, and other third parties (including social media platforms). We will update or modify this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, and other factors. When we post changes to this Privacy Notice, we will revise the ” Effective Date” at the top of this Privacy Notice.
